Fashion is the 2nd most polluting industry in the world. We produce fabrics like cotton to make our clothes ‘natural’. Producing cotton is a harmful process in which water consumption and CO2 pollution play a major role. But why don’t we produce our textiles from a different natural source? For instance FLOWERS?

At this moment flowers are only produced for one purpose, being beautiful inside our home. Sadly flowers only last 2 weeks and are then quickly discarded.

By using this flower waste, we can replace cotton with a truly natural source that is already existent.

In doing so, I want to produce a textile that can change the way that we produce fashion items. And at the same time we will create a flower industry which will not only become less polluting but also serve another function.
