THE TALE BEHIND MEN
A man is often seen as strong, powerful and protective. But behind each man lies his own weakness. Many men cannot communicate about their feelings and hide them in their behaviour. The body language of a man is, therefore, important as it shows how the man is.

The purpose of this project was to create a new sort of man. I am fascinated by the feelings that men express through their body language and I wanted to tell a story, I wanted to show the fragility and weakness of a man.
I started to develop my own fabric. This was done by melting different layers of sealing foil which resulted in a strong yet fragile appearance in which the semi-transparency stood for the man’s vulnerability. Through different methods, I have converted drawings into embroideries. I have added these embroideries on to the developed fabric and by combining the fabric and embroidery I created my story: The tale behind a man.
